Also I’ve been feeling very uninspired with my nail art lately. Well, I took some time today to do something simple- to get me back onto the horse so they say.

This pretty tangerine polish is Crazy Random Happenstance from Vivid Lacquer. It’s part of her The Evil Collection of Evil collection which is based off of Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog.
Crazy Random Happenstance is a tangerine jelly with an assortment of iridescent and multicolor flakes.

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas! Earlier this week Anni sent me some of her new Vivid Lacquer polishes to swatch. I’ll post them this week.
Up first is Vivid Lacquer’s Pick Your Portal. It’s part of her Thankful For My Console collection. It’s a white jelly nail polish filled with orange and blue hexes in multiple sizes. You can see it swatched with 1 and 2 coats. I also did some nail art with it. I used two coats Pick Your Portal over Kiss Nail Art in White, Orly Blue Collar, and OPI A Roll in the Hague.

I’m participating in a Halloween nail art contest with some friends. There’s a lot of rules for this one. You have to use exactly two polishes, the polishes have to be Halloween colors and if you do nail art, you can only use a dotting tool or tape. This is what I came up with and used only a dotting tool for the designs.

When the Hunger Games line came out, I was most looking forward to Riveting. I absolutely adore orange polish and this was DOES NOT disappoint! It’s awesome. I threw on some 2010 flakies to see what would happen. Turns out, not much. You can see them only just a little.
